Belt replacement and other parts

Hi,

As I was putting the M4 back on the frame to cut some cardboard cutout to help wrap the pieces I made, one of the belt (BR) fell off the spool at the end of the extend mode which probably means that I cutted the last project or part of it with a broken belt that was probably just squeezed tight on the spool. My last project were small pieces cut out off the bottom right section of the frame ( so the Br belt was always mostly spooled during the cuts which probably help the squeezing)

So I m not sure how it snap, but it did a some point.

I will be ordering some replacement belts and verifying the other 3 belts.

Question 1

Should I replace all belts with new ones at the same time so they have equivalent wear?will they have the same stretch?

Or just change one and wait for the next one to break?

Question 2

While ordering these parts and to maximize shipping, are there any other parts that I should order to have in stock. Anything that wears and needs regular replacements?

Thanks you and I will finalise this order early this week to put it back to work and try version 1.15 over the holidays

I’m not sure we have enough experience to know what typical wear might look like.

But, when I broke a belt due to user error, I ordered two so I have a spare on hand for future. I added a couple more router bits as well, but didn’t realize they are smaller shank so I have to get a reducing collet still.

Great question! I wouldn’t worry about replacing all of them at the same time. They should have very low stretch at the forces that we are putting on them

Ok, thanks
