Chewed up belt - cutting

At least one of my belts was chewed up by the gears. It happened at about 2m so that’s about half the length of the belt.
I was thinking of how to carry on using the M4 until I can get new belts (this will take ages).
So if I cut the belts to 2m, what’s the maximum size of frame that I can use?

The annoying thing about being in Europe is that I have to buy the belts with a spool from the USA. Since I’m going to have to take everything apart again, it’s not really worth replacing the belt without getting the 4.1 upgrade kit (I missed the kickstarter). So I’m going to have to wait ages.

My requirement is to be able to cut 600mmx1200mm. Will this be possible with the belts half the length?

workpiece size and shows the belt length required

it looks like a 2600x1800 frame would give you a clean cutting area of at least
1400x800
