Bit and Router settings for MDF, Melamine

I was wondering if anyone could share there bit settings for cutting with their Maslow.

What would you set for cutting 3/4" MDF or Melamine with a 1/4" router bit:

Feedrate?
Depth per pass?
Spindle speed on router?

Just like to get an idea where to start at. I think the MDF would be a little harder than the Melamine so if you have 2 different settings that’s nice to know too.

Thanks

Does anyone know any general settings to start with?

My advice is that it doesn’t actually matter that much. I’d go somewhere in the 1800 - 2000 mm/min range for the speed and start with 1/2 of the router bit diameter (so 1/8th inch depth of cut for a 1/4 inch router bit) and if that seems to work well I’d go up to the full router bit diameter for the depth of cut.

For cutting 3/4" MDF or Melamine with a 1/4" router bit on a Maslow CNC machine, the initial recommendations are as follows: For MDF, start with a feed rate of 60-80 IPM, a depth per pass of 1/8" to 1/4", and a spindle speed of 18,000-24,000 RPM; for Melamine, the feed rate and depth per pass are similar to MDF, with a spindle speed also in the range of 18,000-24,000 RPM. Please adjust these settings based on your specific conditions for optimal cutting results.

This is with how many flutes on the bit?
