Calibration Issues Maslow 4: Calibration Fitness Too Low

This process I know from 3D-printers. I asked because I pondered how important the height of the spools is for an accurate calibration. I know it would be better to have the anchor points slightly beneath the height of the spools, but the weight of the sled is easily high enough to have enough down force. Otherwise the vertical orientation wouldn’t work at all?!

I somewhere put my exakt frame dimensions in this thread. When I come from work today I will measure all distances with my laser and will report them alongside the values of the calibration. :+1:
Width 4260mm x Height 2490mm. It’s now too late to make the measurements. I will do it tommorow.

There are a lot of libraries we could use but bringing in anything like that might require some changes to the UI because it seems like we are pretty close to the size limit on what we currently have. I know we don’t have internet access guarantee so we can’t load them from external sites like a lot of web apps do, or like I did on the standalone site.

True, but I intend to use a tape measure and get someone to help me, along with a few stools or stepladders.

@bar it seems to let out much more belt towards the right of the machine than the left at the start. The top right belt doesn’t get tight at the first point. All belts are tight at other points. The prior iterations had 0,0,0 basically correct just from eyeballing it.

I was really hoping this would allow me to at least calibrate with a small point matrix but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Running the maslow logo g code keeps all the belts tight through the cut however you can see it surge as it changes speed and clearly isn’t smooth. It failed on the second pass through the logo i believe.

Again tested an extend, retract, extend, retract and all seems good on that front with good ~0 offsets.
