I don’t thing you NEED a lathe or 3DP to do this: I found the right size metric bolts at the hardware store. Think Ace, not Home Despot. You could use them as-is with a wood spacer block. Just pick a length that plays well with your pool anchor and gets the belts to where you are happy with the height.

Hi folks. I like the idea of the garage floor as a platform; I won’t be CNC’ing THAT much, and I can evict my car from the garage when I need to.
So I like this idea, but the pool inserts seem to be larger. I don’t have a lathe but I do have some 3D printers.
That sounds perfect for my use case. I couldn’t find any STL’s anywhere … I could probably make one, but it would be nice to have a form.
What is the spec on the cable chains?
I just Kickstarted the new one, it’s not here yet but I’m trying to get everything ready.

I’m not sure what you are asking, but the anchors have a 3/8"/10mm hole to hook
to.
I think that if you can make them be as close to the height of the arms as
possible, you will be better off than if they are at floor level (below the
wasteboard and the workpiece), but there is debate about that.

I was going to model a new set of cable chain anchors, that black plastic connector. I’d need to know what the ‘chains’ / toothed belts are. They look like regular toothed belts, Gates GT2 8mm???
Oddly, searching for this on the forum was hard, and the BOM on GitHub doesn’t mention (I think it’s older also, they look like actual ‘chains’)
You almost got it, it’s GT2 6mm. Nice guess!
