Custom Ukulele (Turtlele) Case

After building a custom tenor scale ukulele with a turtle shell my kids found in the backyard, I wanted a case so that it could travel with me. I’m still working on the case, but the Maslow portion is done. I used the Maslow to cut the lid and bottom of the case.

Drawer pulls are on Printables if you fancy them.

These prototypes were printed in white PLA while iterating and making sure the angles had been measured properly. The entire box received a coating of boiled linseed oil to stabilize and protect the charred surface.

These are printed in gold PETG, which was used in the construction of the ukulele to match the theme. The model for the case corners can be found on Printables.

Mostly there’s hardware to add and carving out a relief in the foam for the ukulele left to be done. I will provide updates. as I go.

Love it! I started playing ukulele about a year ago. I’ve been thinking of trying to make my own sometime.
