Does anyone want to be a moderator?

There are some really great ideas for things like a sticky post which links to all the 3D printable files that folks have created, that I’m worried are falling through the cracks because I’m a bit swamped.

Does anyone want to volunteer to be a moderator so that you can create pinned topics and generally improve the organization and usefulness of the forums?

I feel like @dlang has been pretty active and helped alot of other members. I believe he would be a good choice for this.

I’m willing to help, but it would be good to have other people watching for
people posting specific types of things and making links to them in a pinned
topic (one that doesn’t allow general responses, just reference links to other
threads)

I normally read things via email. so anything that’s going to require posting
via the web will be added friction that I have to remember to do. If I can post
a link to the thread via email to another thread and someone else can clean
things up, I could do it fairly easily (we would need to remove the limit of the
number of posts to one thread for people doing this, currently that limit is 5)

I believe I’m already assigned as a moderator, but to date I have just been responding to flagged posts. I would be willing to expand my role to help with this. I think it would be good to add some others, since the volume of posts is sometimes hard to keep up with.

You have both been granted moderator (@jwolter you already had it) :grinning:

Use your powers for good!

I see you got some good help already, but I’ll throw my name in the hat.

@bar I will also take you up on the offer if you need any additional mods. I’m usually around during the weekdays in the Eastern timezone. I’ve seen a few repeat topics that we could probably create a pinned topic for.
