Fall restraint for vertical frame

Has anyone installed any fall restraint onto their maslow unit?
Back story, I 3D printed my wall mounts i installed them on my vertical frame and during calibration my top left gave up. The cable then became free and whipped across my shed luckily missing me.
However my Maslow wasnt so lucky, it hit floor.
I thought it escaped any damage.
I removed all the 3D printed anchors and replaced them with M10 bolts and butterfly nuts.
When going through calibration again it was struggling to achieve high enough fitness values so i knew something was off.
Turns out during the tension of calibration a small crack has opened up near my clamp. So ive had to reorder them :upside_down_face:

Any recommendations?

I was worried about exactly this happening after I broke a belt in the early version of software when the M4 decided to head off without restraint. Luckily I was using it on a horizontal surface at that stage so it didn’t damage itself, apart from the belt. Lately I had to move to a vertical set up so I have taken some precautions. I redesigned my frame and cut the internal vertical studs and put another crossbeam in lower. I then put a wardrobe track at the top and swung a counterweight to the maslow on the reverse side with just enough length to stop the M4 hitting the floor if 1 of the upper belts break. It also reduces the effect of gravity on the sled.

Forgive me for sort of hijacking this thread but I was looking earlier for how to connect a vacuum to the Maslow and found old info (6+ yrs) and garbage. Did you design that vacuum adapter? I just got the M4.1 and it’s put together but I need a way to suck the dust off the workpiece. That 3D-printed part looks solid.

There are a number of different sizes available in the Not Shop
The Not Shop — Maslow, which is where I started. I wanted a vertical outlet for the vacuum when I was running it horizontally, I am at present designing one which will work now I have had to go vertical. This is the file I used.
35mm hose.3mf (288.0 KB)
M4vertHose.stl (1020.3 KB)

Thank you. I had not heard of the Not Shop. Too many vectors…I’ll go look that up.
