I installed v1.02 today. I noted a few things that could use some improvement.
- The upgrade was from v1.01 so it was through my home wifi. After pressing the YES confirmation to upgrade firmware, there was no indication that the upgrade had taken place…no progress bar and no completion message. There should be some indication that the software has changed after the upgrade completes.
- Calibration worked well. The new calibration procedure is better than the last version i used a few months ago.
- When I attempted to download the maslow.yaml file to my computer, I got an error message that says “Couldn’t download - No file”
- I had a power interruption… my fault, I accidently pulled the power cord out of the receptacle. After power was restored, and my computer reconnected, I tried to Release Tention, but that would not work. The finite state code needs to be adjusted so that any time the Release Tention button is pushed, 10 mm of belt comes out to ease removal from frame corners in case there was a power interruption and Maslow loses its position data.
- After thinking about the new calibration procedures, I was wondering if the z-axis livel makes a difference. When calibrating, should Z be at its lowest point or it’s highest point? Or does it make a difference. The first time I calibrated with Z at its lowest point. I calibrated again with Z at it’s highest point. The calibration fitness and frame corner coordinates are somewhat different, but within a couple of millimeters. How much will this affect accuracy when running a G-code program.
