This seems to be the place. In short, I am having some trouble getting over to my first cut. I have installed Inkscape, made what I believe is the correctly formatted/needed .dxf file, and imported it into Heeks. I now have the document open, but am lost on the next steps. The file is nothing special; it is just a square and a circle I want to cut out.
I think I need to set up a milling path?
I am not sold on these applications; that is just what I started with. I have not had much luck watching videos.
You need to create a G-code, a milling toolpath that specifies the tool diameter, the depth of cut, whether you want the toolpath to be internal or external, whether you want to add dogbones, the speed at which the machine will move… KrabzCam is free, simple, and runs in the browser; it has a manual that teaches you how to use it according to what you want to do.
