I assembled my router back in March when it first arrived, I was among the first to have a belt eaten during calibration. I kept attempting to calibrate through the spring, got disillusioned and busy in the summer. I just tried calibrating with v.85 (last attempt was v.72). Calibrated very nicely! So I just cut out a quick silhouette of a dog out of a plywood scrap.
I have decided we need a feature that my embroidery sewing machine has, a button to jog to the outer corners of the box enclosing the complete design. I cut it again on another piece of scrap ply and ran right off the edge.
Half inch plywood of unknown provenance, cheap B/C stuff. 1/4 in compression bit, rpm unknown but DeWalt 611 set to 5. Movement was slow compared to what some folks have. Been experimenting with only 500mm/min. Cut depth .2 inches.
I’m pretty sure I could be more aggressive… But slowly at first for me.
Glad to hear the calibration was better! We put a lot of work into improving it!
The feature with the box is a great idea. I’ve been essentially doing it manually but just jogging the machine. But adding a button would be much faster.
