First Cuts Display

I was able to make my first cuts last week… My friend was showing in a craft fair, and needed a display. We were able to model in Shapr3d, then project the parts and program paths in Easel. We had to go back and bring the SVG intermediarily into InkScape to properly group the paths.

We were able to run through the whole thing in an afternoon. There’s definitely work to be done: I didn’t have time to program dog bones/sniglets, so we had to clean out some joints with the jigsaw, and I’d like to explore blendercam instead of using easel.

The Maslow disconnected several times during the process as well. I didn’t log things so I need to go back and see if I can track down why. None the less, the accucracy with which the maslow was able to retract and rehome was very impressive–the cuts were indistingushible.

Thanks so much for cmeating such an awesome tool! Everyone in our studio area was absolutely captivated to watch it work!
