Harbor Freight Bits That Work?!

Bought these 1/4" bits the other day. They are meant for use in cutout tools. I felt like $9 for 3 bits was worth the risk. I was cutting .15" per pass in which they seemed to work pretty well. Time and more testing will tell. Used with my 500 watt spindle setup, so I had a wide range of speed control. Try it out and let me know what you think.

That’s a great tip…at that price they’re tough to beat.

Maybe not so good afterall…After 3 cuts, maybe 2 hours worth at .15 depth I snapped the first one in half…

So far I have nothing but good things to say about these DIRT CHEAP bits. Over 20 hours on a single bit, still going strong. They are 1/8 shank so you need a collet adapter, but well worth having in your arsenal!
