Help with initial calibration and issue after upgrading firmware

Hi, I am completely new to the Maslow CNC machine. I assembled the frame, machine, and set up everything as per the instructions. Upon completing the calibration, I noticed the software would freeze and stopped responded after trying to test certain movements. Then I would restart the machine and it would take me back to the initial calibration where I would have to remove it from the frame and run the retract and extend method again and again. It becomes frustrating so I assumed it was a firmware issue. I followed the instructions to update the firmware, the .yaml file and whatever was noted on the instructions. Now the machine is completely lost and cannot connect to. I can’t even locate the IP address and when I try connecting to Maslow.local, it says no connection found. Is anyone able to help me figure this out? I am beyond lost.

What version of firmware were you on? did you upgrade through the web UI or
via USB?

The first thing to look out for is do you have a blue blinking light?

If the light is blinking blue that means that it is connected to your shop wifi network and should be available at maslow.local.

If you do not have a blue light that means that the machine is not connected to a wifi network and is creating it’s own “maslow” wifi network for you to connect to

thank you for the replies guys, I was able to get it fixed and working. I updated through USB first and then through WiFi. I did some test cuts and noticed the cuts toward the edges were jagged and sometimes the sled would lift off from the work area. I’m guessing this is a frame/tension issue since I’m using it vertically. I’ll try horizontal and see if I get the same issue and check frame for warping. Will update.

if you are willing to experiment, try raising the anchors (Z direction), the
closer you are to the edge, the steeper the angles of the belts, which may
affect the tilt

was the sled partially off the edge when you had problems?
