Hey it’s been awhile, but I’m wondering what it would take firmware wise to get some probing working.
I’ve been using one of these probes on a smaller format reprap machine. It has made life so much easier.
Idk if it could be used to help the calibration along drilling holes and then measuring them, but it has helped so much work wise.
There is already Z probing available, with no more equipment than a couple of
wires and a flat metal plate.
It would not help much with calibration (the problem would be accurately placing
whatever you have the probe hit)
If you are doing cuts on material that has already been cut, then it would help,
but if you do everything with the material mounted continually, it won’t help
much.
