Horizontal cuts rough

I have noticed that the horizontal cuts in my parts are real rough and cuts that are vertical or angled away from horizontal are near perfect.

Is this a known behavior or do I have something wrong in my set up? My frame is 15 degrees off of vertical. I was thinking that it might need to be on more of an angle.

Can you post some pictures?

Is that the same everywhere on the work area or just in some spots?

This is an example part.

Yeah, that looks terrible

I will cut another one tonight. I will leave it on the board so it is clearer to see.

That part was right here though. The part in the photograph is upside down.

Is it just at the top of the sheet that you are seeing it or everywhere?

I think that it has been on the top of the selection of parts that I have noticed it.

It sounds to me like maybe what is going on is that the tension in the belts is too high up there and they could be fighting each other. You can play around with the simulator here for your frame size and see if that matches up with what you are seeing:

I rearranged the horizontal parts close to the home position and the cuts are great now

I think that it is just something that I need to take account for.

Thanks for making it possible! We’re doing our best to keep improving based on your feedback :grinning:

Having tried a few angles (I started at 17 degrees) I would recommend anything over 20 degrees now. My frame is now at 22 degrees
