Danke Gero, ganz ehrlich, bin auch skeptisch dass das Design wirklich nutzbar ist, aber muss selbst probieren.
English+: To be honest i am skeptical that it will work out reliably, mostly because of the vibrations, but i have to try it first.

Thanks a lot! I will definitely not stock up a huge quantity, as the general opinion about the maslow design is quite mixed, some have nice result and some have miserable outcome. I might just dig deeper into the electronics and replace the DC motors NEMA23 steppers, those are widely available. Also considering to have an active pull down, that would allow to tilt it more(have more downward force), definitely need more engineering put into it.
All the best,
Laszlo
you would still have to use worm gear boxes, otherwise will require recalibration every time power is lost. There are companies that sell the gear boxes with stepper motors.
not sure it is woth spending 2x the price on them though.
Definitely not worth double the price
The whole idea is to keep the price low as possible with a usable precision, for that all metal parts i will have to build/source as much as possible locally.
That is a user experience and not a given parameter.
Cheapest marketing is word of mouth, having good equipment and the customers advertising.
In digital feedback times, the last thing I would do in a business is to go for cheap, unless I’m after a 1 time profit only.
