Laptop crashed during job

Hey folks.

I dropped my laptop during a job and webcontrol says my makermade jumpstart sled is at 0,0 right where it the USB connection dropped. I learned that I should have marked my origin on my chains… hindsite 20/20 and all that. I spent about 2 hours trying to find the answer and ChatGPT gave me instructions on how to restore the setup but it seems as if it is giving me instructions on an older version of web control where it allowed you to manually extend the chains.

How do I find the line last sent to the arduino?
With that, in theory I could get back to 0,0 being where it was.
Then, given that I know where the sled was when it crashed, how do I manually move the chains in modern webcontrol?

Thanks in advance from a newbie.

when you have an unclean shutdown with the earlier maslows, it no longer knows
what the chain lengths are, so you have to remove the chains and extend them out
from scratch

No bedside manner there doc! LOL

Not what I wanted to hear but I guess I’ll stop wasting time.

Thanks

sorry if I came across as harsh

at least this time you know to mark the chains

there are a lot of things that can happen to cause an unclean shutdown. expect
to need to rehang the chains quite a few times as you are learning

Not at all. Just trying to maintain a bit of levity.
