Loss of connection during firmware update

I tried to update my firmware to version 1.07 but every time it gets 20 to 50% uploaded I get this message in my browser “You are disconnected Connection lost for more than 20s” My home wifi connection is good. I tried both from my Mac and my Android with the same results.

Any advise is appreciated!

Thank you,

Joey

I just noticed that I got another Error after leaving it for awhile “update failed due to not enough storage” or Error 0. So I looked under fluidnc status and it says 1.88 MB available for firmware update when the file is 2 MB. I only have one gcode file on there so not sure how to free up more space.

Thanks again!

If your current firmware level is less that 1.0 then you need to do this process.

Ok, New Maslow 4.1 (?) just received in June 2024. Put together, and was trying to update, got the same timeout message. Does this mean we need to do the same process with the usb, or should this version be already set, as it is new machine?

They were all packed in one batch before the 1.0 firmware release so they all have the old installed

Ok, total noob here, so, sorry for the question if it’s redundant. After this is done, do we go back and update again, to get the latest version, or is this now updated to the latest version? Also, might add, to disconnect any other serial devices, otherwise you get a question as to which serial com port to use, after install.

You should be updated to the latest version now and good to go

You can always check which version you are running with the “test” button. The latest version should be 1.07
