Firmware upload Rejected when trying to do my first update

Today I was trying to setup my Maslow for the first time but when I tried to update the firmware I get an error message saying upload rejected not enough space I first tried v1.16 then I tried 1.15 incase it was something to do with the more recent update but I go the same error.

I then looked at the local file system and it seems there is only 192 KB available and the the v1.16 firmware.bin file is 1939 KB not sure what to do here.

that’s not how the firmware.bin gets updated, the button to the right is ‘upload
firmware’, that’s where you go to upload the firmware.bin

I made the same mistake, more than once.

I found my answer after looking around a bunch. I didn’t realize my firmware before 1.0 so.

Note that to update from a firmware version before 1.0 to a version after 1.0 you will need to use a USB cable. There is a video walkthrough for that process https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=od7DpdLel6A

greetings,

I just reassembled with the 4.1 kit. followed the video to update software before 1.0 to latest software. I noticed that the green light stayed on pcb while plugged in to laptop with usb c after i unplugged power while holding boot button. In the video, the green light goes off when he unplugs power while connected to laptop with usb c. Ive now lost wifi, dont see maslow. Currently with power on, green light solid, no blue light. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

update: I unpluged it for an hour, turned it back on. Now i see maslow in my wifi settings, it tries to connect indefinitely. I noticed that there is a red flashing light next to green on mobo.

Red light indicates system error, try reloading software via USB again. Did you notice any errors? You may be able to do it without pressing the button while powering up. Try that first, if your computer can’t connect via USB then you will have to power on the Maslow holding the button.
