One would hope so, but the PCBs that were supposed to ship last week didn’t ship until Sunday so we’re still waiting on them. I have a tracking number and customs are paid so they’re real and they should be here Thursday. I promise we haven’t forgotten you!
Belgium here. Mine got delivered yesterday.
Today I opened the box 1 & I was alsoo greeted with lose bolts. Box was good taped, so nothing got out.
The mayor problem i have is with the controller board.
A capacitor (C7) came loose + extra loose part
I assume it’s better to not turn the controller board on yet? Or should it be OK?
You won’t hurt anything by turning it on, but I’m not sure it will work right. DM me your address and I’ll get you a replacement in the mail ASAP. That capacitor is turning out to be a weak point for sure that we’re going to pad more carefully going forwards.
I’m okay waiting. Looks like we’ll get improved hardware packaging and potentially an extra Allen wrench or two
Got mine today, backer 291. No loose screws or broken parts that I could see, everything in tack, controller looks good (bubble/cardboard wrapped), and box taped well! Got a e-mail notification with tracking number when shipped and another when delivered.
Excellent! That is great to hear. The feedback is super helpful.
Backer 273. The box successfully made it into my hands in Canada. Minimal damage to the box. I opened it and everything looks good from a cursory inspection however I won’t be able to unpack it for a couple weeks.
Backer 507. Got mine in yesterday’s mail. Nothing broken or exploded. Great job making adjustments in the packing!
That is excellent feedback! Thanks for letting us know
Mine arrived today. Has anybody tried raster patterns with the Maslow? Something like relief maps or topographic maps? Is that possible or does the design of Maslow only support vector cuts?
Nope, you can absolutely do raster patterns or spirals
I did one on the oak dish rack to make the big pocket for the dishes to sit in.
The problem with cutting relief maps is that the maslow rides on the sled, and
if you cut away too much of the surfact, the sled will fall into the hole
(changing the depth of cut and catching on the highest points)
CNC machines all do vector moves, just sometimes they do them in parallel lines
David Lang
That was my concern. Is the sled falling over still a concern if it is done in a single pass in left to right and top to bottom fashion? (And is it possible to do it in a single pass?)
It will still be a problem if the hole is bigger than the sled.
Even if the mounted frame is (near) vertical?
Hello, The Netherlands here.
I’m excited to have my Maslow deliverderd yesterday. Mostly in one piece and nuts and screws in the bags. Unfortunately the is a small piece broken off from the sled. Please tell me if this is a crucial part and effecting the rigidity.
It’s not so crucial that I would delay putting it together, but it is 100% important enough that we will get you a new one in the mail ASAP.
Email your address to anna@maslowcnc.com and we’ll send it out right away.
Yes, even when mounted near vertical, the sled is riding on the surface you are cutting away.
Thank you Bar, great service! I will send Anna an email.
Got my Maslow today delivered (Germany). Customs opened the package but from a quick inspection point (including the plastic parts) everything seemed to be fine. Shipping time to Germany was 8 days. Regarding customs fees etc. in Germany: Keep 136,68€ ready (in cash!!!)
This is how my parcel was organized (after customs??):
