I had to get a new laptop, will I have to recalibrate maslow in ground control when I install it?
You will not need to, if you can copy the file ‘groundcontrol.ini’ from your home directory on the old machine to your home directory on the new one.

no, the calibration is stored on the arduino.
but if you can’t copy the groundcontrol.ini file, you should probably
recalibrate so that groundcontrol knows the true machne dimensions
This is true, but at start up the settings in Ground Control are pushed to the machine so you do need to copy the .ini file for the settings to be correct
