I’ve been playing around with my machine by cutting small makercam shapes, but when cutting shapes at a depth about -.25 the cnc makes multiple passes. Even the smallest shapes take about 3 or 4 passes, making it take a while to cut anything. Is there a reason for this and should I be doing something to prevent it?
To cut deeper on each pass, change the “step down” value. I think it defaults to 0.05 in… which is really shallow. I run 0.14 inches normally.
