I am making CNC live edge tables and I think this could be a great place for the Maslow CNC and abundance software; perhaps a couple of enhancements.
What I currently do, is use a template to hand trace the shape of the lake or other design, marking the different depths and then hand route them out. I then fill the cutout with the different colors of epoxy up to the line of the depth. Once the epoxy fully cures, I hand sand it and then add a top coat.
It would be extremely cool to have a camera capture the shape and size of the live edge wood and allow me to position the cutout onto the shape at a predetermined location and cut out the shape, ignoring the rest of the wood. It would also be cool if I could program the different depths into the cutout, so the router could move the bit up and down, to get the right depths. Finally, it would be great to use a router planing bit, to plane the surface; and enable less sanding.
Going to your question about how to sell more; there are many people who would love to do their own epoxy tables without the hours of hand routing and sanding.
