Here is a sled design I’ve just cut that incorporates the dust extraction chute into the sled base itself. I had problems with my dust chute interfering with my z axis on deep cuts and as I now want to go to a linkage kit instead of the ring system it wasn’t going to work with that either. These two halves are glued together.

good job, looks like everyone is going this way. M2 and newer Metal Maslow kits have dust collection under the sled as well.
