Sometimes you just have to laugh

I was trying to fit a piece onto the plywood I’ve been using, so I raised the z-axis quite high, ran an outline of the piece (router off) and the sled was almost wanting to tip at the top, but figured I could put a finger on the bottom of the sled if need be. Except when I moved the z-axis back to normal, it must have thrown off the balance enough where it really wanted to tip, and I took out a little chunk first pass. Desperate I looked to see what previous cutoff I had, a circular disk, figured I could put it on top and slide it around. Once I put the disk on top, found I could roll it along with the sled! I felt so silly, but saved the piece.

Interesting idea. I’ve had it fall of the bottom. Not the top. Yet!!
