Toddler Tower for a kitchen helper

My wife wanted one of these so she could cook with my daughter. I thought it would be a good project for the Maslow, although I wish I would have upgraded with the 4.1 kit. It would stop cutting every 30 minutes, and I had to trim the gcode. The cuts would get wobbly just prior to shutting off, as well.

I modeled the parts in freecad and used Kiri to generate the gcode.

It’s my design, but I saw the folding idea on a few available on Amazon.

I might be missing it, but when I first saw this, It thought how cool it was that it folded up into a step stool so it could be hidden in plain sight and serve multiple purposes. I guess it doesn’t work that way, but really the only thing stopping you is that one dowel. If you could make the structure sufficiently strong, you could have a 2-in-1 on your hands.

Really cool either way.

This is great, would be mind sharing the plans/gcode for it?

Yup. It could be a step stool, but it’s for a toddler, so needed the extra safety bar. My daughter climbs under it, to look at the counter, though.

I was going to add it to the Maslow Community Garden, but the add project page failed. Are there any known issues, @bar? After I filled out the form, I received the error below. My github account was created today, but I linked it to my maslow account.

Yeah, unfortunately I took the page down a few years back because it was getting spammed by bots :grimacing:

abundance.maslowcnc.com Is going to replace it, but it’s more of an all in one CAD/sharing system so it’s not so easy to upload files that are already designed (although importing .step files does work)

Sorry about the delay. I went on vacation after I found out community garden was down. I created an Abundance project, and uploaded the zip into github. It’s the zip file at: GitHub - ASarl/Toddler-DeskTower: A convertible 3d model for the parts needed to create a convertible toddler tower and desk. 4 ft of 1 in dowel rods and 2 hinges are needed to complete the project.
