Updating Firmware issues

I’m finally getting around to using my unit. I’m trying to update the firmware and running into an issue. I believe I have updated the firmware to 1.0 using the procedure outlined in the video. The look of the FluidCNC page changed so I assume the firmware updated. Is there somewhere to confirm this?

Secondly, when trying to update the index.html.gz file and the maslow.yami file I just just a spinning circle of death. Picture attached.

if you hit the test button (in the settings popup) it reports the firmware and
UI version

the maslow.yaml format changed in 1.09, so you should upgrade past that before
you bother with the maslow.yaml file.

when you did the full-install over USB, it should have loaded the index.html.gz
and maslow.yaml as well.

David, So I think you are saying that when I did the full install to 1.0 it should have installed teh index.html.gz and maslow.yami on the local filesystem already? When I try to look there I get the spinning wheel. I’ll hit the test button to see if the firmware actually updated when I get home in a couple of hours. Thanks for your assistance. Dave

This is what I see in the popup.

I’m not sure what any of it means. I’ve tried updating from 1.0 to 1.01 and it’s the same.

What happens when you press the Settings → Test button?

That should print out the version numbers for both the firmware and index.html.gz

I got it to kind of work now. I can’t get it to calibrate. It’s in kind of a loop. It tells me I can’t calibrate until I extend. I’ve extended the belts out all the way and I still can’t get it to calibrate. Here is what I got from Test.

Did the fan turn off? It will extend the belts to the distance that you set for it to extend too and then stop automatically, but it won’t move on until they are fully extended to the distance that you set

This video might help explain what is going on:
