It sounds like some folks are getting deliveries of M 4.1 kits. This is Really Good News, of course, but I wonder if you can help us to manage our expectations, ease the delivery process, etc. So:
What should we do to make accepting the shipment easier?
When should we ping the project to inquire about delivery status?
How (e.g., in this thread) should the ping be sent?
AFAIK, all the people who have received their 4.1 kits opted for air delivery.
The boat to the US just arrived in Los Angeles a few days ago. The boat needs to
be unloaded (all the containers) and then they need to go through customs and
get turned over the the post office for delivery
I would be surpised if we get them this week, but in the next couple of weeks
would be pretty normal.
I got worried I hadnāt given my address to my Canadian shipping, after your email today, but it looks like I did. But Iām a bit confused because I had read international orders shipped direct air from China⦠But I still havenāt seen my upgrade kit⦠Or is Canada not considered international in this case?thanks for info, cheers
I just found you on the list and your kit has been unloaded from the ship and should ship out in the next 1-2 days.
BUT you are also right that Canada is international and it should have gone by air (the other Canada orders all did)
The good news is that it should be arriving imminently, Iāve refunded you the extra $25 you paid for air shipping that you didnāt get. Iām sorry for the delay!
I have completed the upgrade for the router assembly and about to attach it to the sled. The kit included a fan and the bars. The fan is the same part no. as the one in the original unit. The bars appear the same too, so I assume I donāt need to replace them. Is this true?
Yes, the fan mount is slightly different so you can use the same screws as elsewhere, the original bars varied a little in length, so if the old ones worked for you, no need to replace.
In short no need to replace fan or bars.
