I experienced an unexpected problem when my laptop went to sleep (I’ve now changed the settings to stop that happening as ). However, the Maslow 4.1 didn’t just stop in place, it went off course by 5 mm or so over a 40 mm length and then stopped, damaging the workpiece in an engrave operation.
My guess as to what’s happening:
At some level an XY move command gets translated into commands to each of 4 motors. A long straight line will get divided into a number of segments. Within a long move of say 30 cm each motor will get a number of commands. These must start and stop at the same time at the beginning and end of the move, but are not necessarily synchronized within the move.
