What is the recommended version of Rpi OS and the correct Webcontrol version?

This is a followup to an earlier post in which I am trying to get my Rpi OS and WC to work together since my micro SD card completely failed and had to be replaced. I am not super tech savvy but I managed to get the OS loaded and then the WC but my WC will not open. After trying some things with the help of David Lang (thank you David), I decided to try reloading everything on a new SD card and start over. My thought is that i must not have loaded the correct version of either the OS or WC.

What is the recommended version of the OS and WC that everyone is using?

I’m still dead in the water…anyone interested in a metal maslow 3 axis unit that is designed to be hinged to the wall and swing into position? As they say in used car ads, “worked great when last run”. Or, if someone could please tell me what the correct WC file is that I should use with my Rpi 4 model B, I would be forever grateful. Thank you
