5 minute z-probe build

A super quick z-probe build.

Parts: Strip of aluminium, AA battery holder, LED, Alligator clip, Wire, Nut and bolt.

Tools: Wire cutter, soldering iron, screw driver

Simple circuit: battery > led > alligator clip > bit > metal strip > battery

No need for a resistor as 2xAA is only 3Volts and the LED will only be illuminated for a few seconds

Procedure: Place the probe under the sled, clip the alligator clip on the router bit, lower the bit by jogging the z-axis down by a small amount (eg 0.5mm) until the LED illuminates, press z-home, raise the bit and remove the probe

I read it properly now, it’s not controlled by the motherboard
