maybe Im wrong but it just seems like that sled will weigh at least 12 lbs and the top 2 belts will gradually stretch out more than the bottom 2 belts? when I buy mine I"m going to drill a hole in that sled and put a screw somewhere to hang the sled on.

since M4 is self calibrating. belt stretch may not matter as much as chain stretch since it could just be calibrated out.
except when the belt teeth no longer mesh with the gears correctly due to stretching there will be lots of vibrations in the belts and added wear.
I think it ultimately depends on the material @bar specified for the belts. Im not going to make assumptions until I know more about what he selected.
Correct, some of those belts are made with metal cables in them, some with fiberglass cord, and other things to limit stretching. I trust that Bar knows how much tension is getting put on these belts and the mechanisms and wear is going to be part of the game with this design. Even if they only last 2 or 3 years they shouldn’t be too expensive and with the auto-calibration I would think replacement and getting running again should be pretty quick.

IIRC, @bar mentioned in another thread that he tested a few belts and had settled on kevlar reinforcement for more strength, less stretch.

Just rediscovered this project years after first finding it. I’ve got garage space and some projects now so I was about to pull the trigger on one of the existing kits, but now I’m going to wait for the Maslow4. Very excited for all the progress and improvements that have been made!
Original date for the Kickstarter campaign in the post was the 15th which has come and gone. Any updates on a new go-live date?

Yup! I was focusing on getting everything sorted out with the machine / suppliers etc and I didn’t pay enough attention to the paperwork Kickstarter needed. The paperwork we were waiting on is taken care of, but now we are waiting on a debit card to arrive in the mail 
…we need to have one that has the company name on it for some reason.
That said I’m not too worried about it, I was feeling a little rushed before and I’m using the extra time to tidy things up and feel a little more relaxed.
The current plan is that we are going to send out an email on Tuesday with the final day selected.
Sorry for the wait everyone! I’m getting everything done as quickly as I can.
