Beginners Guide? Where to Start?

Thanks for all the great info guys!

RavenWall, you post is exactly what I needed. Thank you!

I am having a bit of trouble finding specifications on the size and length of elastic cord needed. I’m guessing there is a wide range of solutions that are sufficient, but recommendations would make things easier.

“no one” is using that elastic cord anymore. look at the default frame instructions which use a bungee cord or one can use a pulley and counter weight system using these

If it is the elastic cord that comes with the kit… I applied it per the instructional and everything is ok. The least of my trouble. Now if it stretches where there is slack I plan to make it slightly shorter and we’ll cross that bridge IF I come to it.

So, Im in the same boat here and looking at the previous CNC device this group made, and how hard it is to get that kit now, I’m worried the Maslow’s on the way to that direction too.

Does anyone have just an updated “Kit” I can buy to try out now?. I think it’s going to take hours just to part this all out just to get this thing together, to then assemble, then configure, then…

I don’t mind a little time investment for a new project, I’m just a tad worried about the longevity of where this kit is going that’s all…

Really unlikely Maslow is “going anywhere” (away that is). Open source. Arduino based. The maslow shield is being made by @Bee and everything else is reproducible. As long as the forum was kept up and there is interest (which seems to be growing rather than shrinking) “life will find a way”! 3d printers, makers. I should stop now! :wrench::muscle::dart:
