Can you display Webcontrol screen from Rasp Pi when using another computer to control the Router

no it was before, I am sure of that

Ok, so the board was moved and THEN you ran Holey cut test pattern?

When you say “board” are you referring to the waste baord in the back or the workpiece board you are trying to cut?

Yes…and now that I measure, the top left and top right Holey test holes are much different amounts away from their respective edges as well.

So the entire test pattern to itself looks to be correct, but as a whole it is off to the left a few inches…off center

When you say “board” are you referring to the waste baord in the back or the workpiece board you are trying to cut?

Which board are you trying to cut the test pattern in?

the workpiece board. I put screws (countersunk) Way at the bottom the backer frame board so it did not move when folding in ((if I wanted to fold into wall). So low the router could never hit them as maslow would of fallen off the board at that point already.

probably why so easy to move the work piece board as the one behind is fixed to the frame

Ok, so the backer board is secured to the frame so it cant move. You are using the workpiece board to cut the Holey test pattern in correct?

Is the workpiece board secured in place somehow?

It is extremly inmportant that during hte calibration routine that the board that is being used fro the test pattern can not move.

also if things shifted, I wanted to make it easy to adjust the workspace board. I always had an edge to line up to as well for reload of wood…as the back board was perfectly centered on the frame until I wanted to put a new one also helped make the frame more rigid and strong

Yes correct, backer board secured to the frame, the work piece board is NOT secured to the board behind it. I used the work piece board to do the calibration for Holey. It was centered. I mean will try again if you want me to, but we are off center so not sure going to make a difference right? I think will be same results…

I ran holey 3 times that night, all holes were more so right where the original were. I used tape to cover hole each Run to make it easy to find the hole edge for my mom to help me measure.

the holes it made were so shallow no way that board moved in all 3 tests. Not in my opinion anyhow.

right now, using the “return to Center” function in hte actions menu is the sled centered or off center. Not compared to the work space but compare to the horizontal distance between the motors. If it is there should be an equal ammount of chain played out form each motor

No, it is not. On the screens it is center, but visually, you can tell it is off center.

Ok, good. I was hoping that was the case. I know what is wrong.

good good. As you expected, Like to hear that…

i can get you how much off exactly if you like? As I know my back board is centers, and can mark and use my square to draw line and measure if that helps?

I can use the holey calibration hole, the center of it maybe?

probably not the most accurate way, and why I bet you want me to do some chain resets maybe…but we will see

I believe there are a couple of things going on here.

  1. Your set-up and resulting calibration is hosed.
  2. You have issues with a courrupted webcontrol.json configuration file.

The good news is that the set-up and calibration procedure with webcontrol and Holey is much easier than with Ground Control. You won’t need to pull chains tight to get the measurment between the motors. Also, Holey calibration is really good at accounting for the inaccuracies in manual measurments.

To fix problem #2 could be a straightforward process of using a backup file but you probably dont have one and if you did I dont think it would be very helpfull because it will contain incorrect settings anyway.
