ok I agree based on all we talked about today, .json file has to be corrupted. I was not aware it was easier to calibrate, never tried it…but will to do it. Awesome no chain stretch !!
I’m willing to walk through the set up process with you if you want but I won’t be at my machine until tomorrow morning.
based on all this, would agree. Just was not sure if could use my old info…but sounds like no, we need to do some calibrations it sound like
If I cannot figure out, that would be wonderful. For now, should I just do what they call a quick calibration?
I would start from scratch. pretend it’s a new installation. I think relying on old information or files at this point is not going to get this done
See if that resolves, then backup that .json file right after? Then do the holey over again second?
no, you are going to need to wipe out you webcontrol.json fiel which would also wipe out your settings
ok this is the part I need a little guidance on. Do I need to wipe pi image, and all that first…wipe the Arduino, load up fresh firmware, etc, THEN do calibration with no groundcontrol.ini load file?
seriously, there is no easy fix here. You should start over.
If you can explain how to wipe that, and high level what the steps are (like if I wipe pi, or arduino and when in process…happy to try on my own and if not we can walk through tomorrow when you are at machine. Up to you.
No, PI image is good, Arduino firmware is good. You would need to reset webcontrol to default settings and start from there. It’s really not that bad.
which that is fine, my son can help with the pi image and Webcontrol, the configuration and all that if needed. Just do I use that groundcontrol.ini file, or ignore and just start calibrating after new software on Arduino and Pi?
oh awesome!!!
Like I said, I can walk you trhought eh process if you want. Ive already had to do it several times but I cant get to my Maslow until tomorrow morning
How do I wipe Webcontrol?
sounds like once I do, make sure .json file is gone and then calibrate right?
What I suggest is that we regroup tomorrow morning when I can have webcontrol up and running and I can walk you through the proces.
Tehre is mor to it than that. You will need to enter in things like the distance between motors, vertical offset above worksurface, etc…
That would be great, thanks
appreciate that. In the meantime I will do some research to see if can figure out as have nothing else to do today…and if I mess it up, we just start over again step by step right?
oh yeah I remember that, I wrote all that down from groundcontrol
