My laptod recently updated to windows 11 while i was halfway through a cut, I know my mistake for not turning off auto update. But since the update I’ve lost my com-port and are unable to connect back to the machine. I’ve tried installing a com port through the legacy app installation but it’s still not working. Has anyone ever encountered this or know how to remedy the situation? Thank you for the help in advance.
the com port is created dynamically when the device is plugged in to USB,
unplug, look at what com ports exist, plug in and see what changed (it’s
probably there, just a different port number)

Restarting the computer might help too. It could be an issue with the driver needing a restart or something.
