Cord wrangling on horizontal frames

How is everyone with flat frames handling cord/vacuum hose management? I rigged up an overarm out of some scrap and it’s OK but I want to step up to a 2.5" hose to the router and I think that the hose will sag too much.

You might be able to minimize sagging by binding some bungee cord material to the hose. Set things up so that the hose is held into loops when the tension is low, but straightens out as the sled moves away from the suspension point.

I think most people manage it manually and/or expect the sled to push it out of
the way.

I have the problem with letting the hose just lay there that the ridges on the hose get caught on the edges of the table/spillboard because my vacuum is lower than the table.
