Greetings. I posted over in the troubleshooting category about an issue I was having with my most recent project. When looking back at a some of my past projects I realized that I had never shared a couple of them here, so I wanted to make a quick post to share some inspiration.
This project is a fishing rod holder made from 3/4" scrap plywood I had in the shop. The plans were purchased from a vendor on Etsy as a .svg file. The tool paths were created using Carbide Create Pro.
After cutting out all the pieces using the M4, I went over most of the edges using another router by hand with a round over bit, and then sanded everthing with random orbital sander. It is a simple but effective way to store some fishing poles that were previously leaning in various corners of the shop, and Iām happy with the results
For this project I used a high quality 1/4" compression end mill, with 600 mm / min feed rate and 12mm depth per pass. The DeWalt router in the M4 was on a speed setting of ā4ā, and the sled is hooked up to a shop vac using a Dust Deputy cyclone bucket.
