Have followed all advice, and so far cutting belts shorter, and refitting loose screws, has seemed to help. Thanks.

On re assembly one of the Z motors stops turning after Z drops 6mm or so.
Both Motors are engaging in their respective nut, but then one motor stops turning. If it was driven any further it would bind the other motor.

Arms moving Freely. Z thread cleared. Various Retraction and Calibration Thresholds tried. Retraction zero’d, No noticeable flex in the frame to indicate where to strengthen.

Still will not Calibrate.

It’s getting a little frustrating.

Any advice/guidance, appreciated.

It may help to get a video of the calibration so that people can watch that and
see if they spot anything.

another option is to try measuring the 6 distances between the anchor points as
accurately as you can and try the manual calibration
http://lang.hm/maslow/maslow4_manual_calibration_simple.html in theory, that is
not as good as letting the machine measure things, but it may be ‘good enough’
for you to start doing other things with the system.

Yes, I think a video would help a lot. It seems like something funky is going on but it’s hard to say what it is.

Well life got in the way for a bit there, so it was left for a while.

Got a chance today, so updated firmware from .77 to .79, and it calibrated first time.

So stood the frame up and just leaned it against the wall. No additional bracing, no permanent fixing to the wall, changed the config to vertical, and it calibrated first time.

Guess it is time to get a spindle.
