How would I recreate something like this…?

Hi!

Still haven’t had a lot of time to play with the Maslow yet, other than a very first cut to see if it works.
But everywhere I go, I see these things that I could replicate now I have a CNC machine, which is awesome.
Can someone point me in the right direction though, if I wanted to create something like the attached image, or sort of a skirting board pattern, or other 3d depth art in a piece of wood, do you design that in CAD like freecad and still use the standard tool path software?

Let’s say I want to reproduce a pattern that’s I have on an old skirting board, or like the attached image. How would I go about doing that?

Many thanks in advance, and apologies for the ELI5 question.

For something like that you would want to use a ball nose endmill something like this:

Other than using the right tool, that looks like just a bunch of straight lines to me…although with a CNC you could make them any shape

OK great - thanks Bar

When you do the tool path, it’s just repetitively going over the pattern with deeper and deeper cuts to make the profile?
I guess I haven’t seen the option in Krabzcam yet to do that, so trying to get my head around it all

It would take some experimentation to get it right, but that sounds right to me!

In Krabzcam this would probably just look like a bunch of straight lines
