Maslow setup, cutting final sled - what am I doing wrong?

I’m cutting in 3/4" ply with a 1/4" straight bit and I uploaded the gcode found here: Maslow Ring System Sled

I’m not sure if I was supposed to change something in either speed or materials before starting the cut but it cut the first small hole and seemed to do it in steps, but then it began cutting the curve and things started to go very very wrong - or it seemed like it anyway. I happened to be videoing at the time. The sound changed and I thought the router was going to jump or something so I threw my phone down and yanked the plug.
Did I freak out unnecessarily? Or do I need to adjust the speed somewhere?

So noone spends time unnecessarily diagnosing this. We fixed this issue this morning. Caused from the collet loosening up.

Thanks! meant to come back here and update this post. I thought I’d tightened that bit in there plenty good. Definitely need to wrench them down better than I did.

If you can swap to a proper collet - because they don’t loosen up. Or even better something like an ER11 collet - some routers can be retrofitted with these.

I swapped out the whole router for a spindle with an ER11 collet

which spindle did you get?

Just a 500w one from Tokopedia. Have a search for one that is variable speed and includes a full set of collets

I’m also using a 500 watt for about a year now on the classic maslow. No issues.
