Z-axis pops out on Rigid

Has anyone else had issues with the Rigid routers and z-axis kit? Mine has a ton of slop in it and often the tab pops out of the notch completely both of which combine to make the z essentially useless, because I never know if it is going to cut to the desired depth or be off by an 1/8th inch or more.

The R22002 router height adjustment isn’t exactly what you would call “precision”. There’s some slop/play in the arm on the lead screw (the arm is the thing that rides up and down the lead screw… the thing with the orange tab). There have been solutions posted on improving the slop by adding bushings to the arm that I haven’t tried, but would like to.
