Successfully cut small bike rack from aluminium

Very happy with a small bike rack for my ebike.

FYI, Maslow was a bit jumpy (suspect my calibration wasn’t accurate enough).

6mm single flute up-spiral bit on speed 1 produced nice looking chips.

.75mm DOC.

800mm/min speed.

Small amount of wd40 sprayed onto work piece.

3mm aluminium plate with masking tape covering.

I used 2 toolpaths. First I did a 2d pocket to clear the holes. 2nd was a contour with 4 tabs.

Will need to use the industrial brake at work to bend the two arms down to bolt to my bike. Will upload pics of it fitted.l

Very happy with results.

Not bolted up yet, sits exactly how I had planned. Satisfying feeling to bring an image from my mind, to a physical item.

When I get back from a trip, I’ll have to try and sort out some clicking I’ve been getting. Could possibly be that 2 of my anchors are lower than the other 2 (due to garage not being completely level).
