Trouble uploading firmware and sled not keeping up errors - original chain model

Hi all. I’ve been away for a few years and trying to fire up the Maslow again for my biggest project yet. I’m getting sled not keeping up errors. I think my problems are firmware related. I have the original chain model. I see that my control options now are Webcontrol or Groundcontrol 2022. I’m trying to use Groundcontrol 2022 because it seemed easiest to implement.

I get a “Warning, your firmware is out of date and may not work correctly with this version of Ground Control. Ground Control Version 3.10; Firmware Version 1.26.” I’ve downloaded the Arduino IDE and am not sure I’ve successfully uploaded the most current version from GitHub, cvc_ctrl_v1. Should I try to upload the firmware via EBS? I’m seeing info saying it may not be compatible with the original board.
So should I go ahead with EBS firmware uploader, switch to Webcontrol, or is this problem not firmware related?

Well, I finally got Webcontrol to work on my Windows tablet. I don’t know why it didn’t work the first time I tried installing, but it worked the second time. Now it says my firmware is too NEW! I’m doing a test run overnight to see if it can complete the code without error now.
