I am an inch away from just giving up and figured I’d at least ask for help first
I got my maslow calibrated after a nightmarish journey of different bolt-to-the-ground setups, countless times if undoing all belts, retracting, extending, fixing and so on. You probably know what I am talking about.
When I was finally ready to do my first cut, I decided to do a dry run without a tool - which turned out to be a good idea, because my workspace was too small. The maslow was going straight for the edge of my wasteboard, so I hit the stop button. It did stop eventually but somehow started to unwind all spools. I wasn’t able to stop it from doing that, so I unplugged the power cord. Now I am left with unrolled spools (inside) and am pretty certain that the belts will horribly tangle and break once I hit “retract all”. Is there a way to force all loose belt out of the machine? I can’t bare reassembling the whole thing right now so it has been just sitting there, collecting dust for the last two months.
If anyone has advice for me, I’d be very glad! Thank you all
Julian

what firmeware version are you on? there was a test version released last week
that seems to solve some problems, but the ones you describe are ones that I
think were solved quite a while ago.
if the belts are loose inside the machine, you should be able to just pull them
out yourself. When you go to retract them, get someone to help you and just keep
all 4 belts relatively level as they go into the machine (slight tension on them
doesn’t hurt as well)
if the belts are too tangled inside the machine, the answer is to open the arms
so you can pull the spools out and rewind them.
Hi David,
Thank you for the quick reply! I actually did manage to untangle the spools. I retracted and stopped them manually by hand. I was then able to unspool and respool them the belts now have a kink, but I don’t think it will matter once they are under tension.
Thanks again for the help!!
