Amazing! This is the first time I’ve seen an M4 cut in the wild, so great to see it in action!
Happy Birthday to Mees!
Getting ready to do my First cut on my M4. Can someone please help me figure out what I am doing wrong? I have a 1/8th" bit, Cutting out 3/4" wood. Some stars seem to be ok, others are not.

assuming that the other stars were selected, zoom in and check that there aren’t
tiny gaps at the corners.

Cutting a “dinosaur” jig mould to infuse a carbon fibre wind deflector for the front of my expedition truck. Got a bit close to the edge!
What software are people using to put tabs into cut profiles …?? I’m getting a bit bored hand cranking the G-Code to add them !!
Ive been using the free browser based kiri:moto and its very easy to add tabs.
Ok I was able to fix the X’s but now I’m losing detail from the Fireman.
Can anyone Please help me get this file figured out? I would like to try to Cut this today.
Did you have any tipping that close to the edge? I would have been hovering over it, ready to catch it if it did!
Unfortunately I don’t have much experience working with gcode generation. My guess is there might be a code which is not implemented in the Maslow.
I havent cut it. Yet. I was using Krabzcam to generate the G Code. And i can see that there is a lot of missing for the Fire fighter. If you look at his helmet alone you can see that its going to cut through the whole thing and not leave the detail
Sorry, that question was directed @Scuba_Shan.
Looks great. Did you have a dust collector/vacuum hooked up? If so maybe a future sled redesign would improve that.
it sounds to me likeheishaving campro lems, but i’m notfamilar with the tool
heis using
Yup there was a little tipping but it seemed to manage staying upright by itself
No the dust collector I’d printed was the wrong size for my vac so I’d just YOLO’d it. New collector is printing now
Doing a dry run to make sure everything is working. Cant wait to actually run it tomorrow!!
Could you explain this a little more? Like are you basically putting a bunch of 2d cuts near eachother? How much distance will fiberglass or carbon fiber span for a mold?
400mm spacing for the frame with a few sheets of tortured ply to provide a smooth surface for a vacuum infusion using an envelope bag.
My first semi successful cut. I went over the top juuuusssst a bit. But this is the best i have done so far. What a learning curve!
This looks incredible!
@anna had some excellent suggestions for how we can make it easier to visualize the bounding box of a design recently so hopefully we can make it easier to get things lined up
