After a power cycle, the machine doesn’t know how much belt is extended, the
encoders detect the position of the toothed rollers, but don’t know how many
times they have rotated.
There are bugs in the pausing process that Bar has in his queue to work on, and
we have work in progress to have the machine remember where it is if you shut it
down cleanly (it will store where it is after it is idle for a few seconds), but
a crash will always leave it in an unknown position.
