Hmm I haven’t seen that before.

Which firmware version are you running?

This sounds like a connection issue to me. The latest firmware should give you a pop-up to alert you if you get disconnected

v7.4
no popup
I can still move the z axis
the maslow has a solid green light
and a flashing red light

the serial just says “retracting belts”
(even though its not)

is there a list
that states what each error code means?

I reinstalled the maslow operating system
and now when i try to retract belts i get error 152
also i can no longer move the z axis

that probably means your maslow.yaml is corrupted/reset

I think that this is the culprit. If you press the Setup → Test button what do you see?

I just encountered this…test says “Encoder not found on Bottom Right” after fighting to calibrate for five days; I even built a new frame, thinking my experimental one was too flexy.

The good news is I futzed with the CAT 5 cable and restarted and that, at least, is well.

I’ve just tightened up my frame and the anchor points because it was ‘too flexy’
This is totally an issue
So yeah, with my recent experience I would strongly recommend doing anything to make your frame and anchor points less ‘flexy’.

yep, encoder not found just means it can’t talk through the cat 5 cable to the
encoder.

it said it couldn’t find one of the motors
turned out one of the cables wasn’t connecting properly
thanks for the suggestion bar

You did not waste your time doing that. We’ve seen quite a few users who were having errors or inaccurate cuts who benefited from a stiffer frame.
