WiFi-Connection get lost every day or two

Hi,
I have updated my maslow 4 with 1.16! What a great step! Everything works now out of the box, no problem with the calibration!
But every day or two the maslow disconnects from my Wifi (the blue LED stops blinking and it is not reachabel any more). It is connectet about a 2.4 GHz to a Fritzbox 7490 with no connection to the internet. After a new start everything works fine again, till it happens again.
Where do I have to start my searching? Does anyone can give me a hint?
Thanks and happy new year!
Franz

That is very interesting, I haven’t seen that happen. It should reconnect automatically, have you ever seen it be disconnected and then reconnected again?

How far apart are they, could it be a signal strength issue?

No, I have not seen a reconnection. I have waitet over 24 hours. And the signal is strong enough (the tablet i am using to control the maslow is right beside an has full signal strength). At 0.95 I did not have this problem. Can I connect via USB to control the maslow or at least to get the log-file?

Can we do a test to see if re-connection is possible or if something is stopping the re-connection? To do that when the machine is connected try turning off the wifi network (by unplugging the Fritzbox) and then turning it back on and see if automatic re-connection is happening.

I can test to see if it is working right on my end and see if something has changed, but I am way from my machine this week so it will take some time to test.

Yes, but any desktop app that you use won’t have all of the Maslow specific buttons related to controlling the belts. I don’t have a ton of experience using them. Something like https://universalgcodesender.com/ might be a good place to start.

Reconnection does not work. After turning off and on the wifi network, every device but the maslow reconnected. The next days I will try do download a log file to see what happend. Thank you very much for the link.

And no hurry, now that the maslow can be used right away after powering on it is not a big deal to restart. When I make a longer cut, I will write my experience, (if the network loss is only a symptom of another problem).

But i wonder if I`m the only one with that problem…

I won’t have a chance to test it until I am back home, but I did let the AI whip up a fix which might be worth testing: Enable automatic WiFi reconnection on connection loss by Copilot · Pull Request #675 · MaslowCNC/Maslow_4 · GitHub

No worries if you want to wait until I can confirm that it at least works for me first
